Kayla & Mike's Gorgeous Central Coast Wedding

This past weekend I attended the wedding of longtime friends Kayla & Mike. The setting was on the Central Coast, our hometown...it was the most perfect day at the beach, and Kayla was STUNNING. It was so refreshing to be a guest at a wedding - with no styling or production duties whatsoever - simply ENJOYING the love and celebration with friends and family. Kayla & Mike - CONGRATS! How perfect is this birthday party stephmodo (fab blog, PS!) planned for her daughter? I have always loved those Yellow Owl Workshop stamps - which she so cleverly utilized for the details. And the menu (clam chowder + sourdough bread) and favors (cherry crumb cake slices) are simply sweet, totally doable, and kind of adorable for a kiddo to request! This party is so chic it could be for adults, no?!

You can dye Easter Eggs naturally with ingredients found in your spice cupboard, pantry and fridge. I am loving this gorgeous shot and how-to from Colour Me Happy. It's a great reminder that nature provides us with the very best colors (just say no to artificial dyes ok?!), well, naturally! Happy Easter, friends!

My copy of Kinfolk arrived today. Chock full of simple, gorgeous layouts inspiring one to eat, host, and gather round the table with close friends and family, this issue is especially worthy of purchasing for your coffee table. My dear friend, Shaunna, is a featured contributer as well....and her story (coupled with images by the most-talented Maui photographer, Ashely Camper) is just lovely--a must read!

Wedding: Brooke + Jason on Green Wedding Shoes

I don't even know where to start with this post...because, you see, this wedding meant a whole lot to me. Not only because it was the wedding of my bestie, Brooke, but also because it was my last official wedding (I decided to hang up my wedding/event shoes and chose this special day to be my last creation!). I had the honor and challenge of assembling the best vendors ever & produce a wedding for 150 people in 3 months! Needless to say, I wanted to go out with a bang, and give Brooke & Jason the wedding they both deserved so very much. To say that I couldn't have done it without my own team (Whitney Werts, MacKensey Horne, Whitney's cousin who came up at the last minute because I got the stomach flu, and my sister Annie), along with the unrivaled talent of all of the vendors, is a complete understatement. And the photos? Well, Ellie Grover, you did it again! I just love when my friends and family have the privelege of working with you on their wedding day. You are so incredible and here are a few of my favorite shots you took of the most gorgeous day (and BRIDE - holy hotness!):

How in the world is this sweet baby girl aready ONE?! It feels like I was just there, at the hospital, coaching my amazing sister through what seemed to be the LONGEST labor (but shortest delivery - thankfully) ever! And now, one year later, Tessa Love is cuter than ever and quite possibly the most SPOILED niece on the planet. Happy brithday to you, darling niece! I sure do love you!
